The world’s leading tennis players will have access to state-of-the-art Life Fitness, ICG and Hammer Strength equipment at purpose-built gyms onsite at the All England Lawn Tennis Club
Monday 01 July, 2019 – Global fitness equipment supplier Life Fitness will be equipping two gyms at the All England Lawn Tennis Club for The Wimbledon Championships.
The equipment, which has been provided by Life Fitness in partnership with the Gym Rental Company, was selected by the Championships to support the training and conditioning of the sport’s top athletes during the two-week competition, which starts today.
In addition, the multi-year agreement will see Life Fitness and the Gym Rental Company extend its provision of fitness equipment to the 2020 and 2021 Championships.
The onsite gyms, purpose-built for the competition, include treadmills, cross trainers and upright bikes from Life Fitness’ Integrity Series - all fitted with Discover SE3 HD consoles – ICG® IC6 indoor cycles and Hammer Strength dumbbells.
Life Fitness and the Gym Rental Company also installed equipment at a third training facility at the nearby Bank of England Sports Centre, which hosted the Wimbledon Qualifying Tournament last week.
The Life Fitness cardio equipment used by the players also features Halo Fitness Cloud, Life Fitness’ cloud-based digital platform designed to enhance the user experience and improve asset management.
“Every element of a player’s experience during Wimbledon is carefully considered and it is our responsibility to give them the best support possible to perform at the highest level, and the warm-up and cool-down facilities are an essential part of this,” said Andrew Ambrose, General Manager of the All England Lawn Tennis Club.
“We are a world-class event and we look for world-class suppliers to support the successful delivery of the Championships; Life Fitness were able to provide us with quality fitness equipment and a seamless solution, and the support we’ve received, from working with us to select the equipment through to installation and onsite care, has been fantastic.”
